The MIL project, winner of the Yvelines General Council's "Urban Vehicle - City of the Future" call for projects, was presented on October 7, 2013. It brought together MUSES, INDUCT and LIVIC (an IFSTTAR laboratory) to implement two automatic functions with a 100% electric Mooville vehicle:

  • Automatic valet parking for driverless vehicles.
  • Platooning enables a single driver to move an entire fleet of vehicles. A robotic arm, an integral part of the Mooville vehicle, links the vehicles together to form a train. Each vehicle adapts its behavior to that of the lead vehicle, ensuring monotrace tracking.

CAR&D has designed trajectory tracking control laws providing for redundancy, with :

  • A loop using the leader's steering information
  • A loop only internal to the following vehicle.

  • As this history video reports, the magnificent Canopée boat using AYRO OceanWings sails was first prototyped on a small scale. https://youtu.be/2t8NGhnZl0I This Proof-of-Concept can be found in the next line of our 2016 news.

A Proof of Concept is indeed the physical demonstration of the viability of the essential principle of the concept, while temporarily neglecting all that is secondary and a priori feasible. Ma Jun (237 A.D.) masterfully defined the demonstrator's approach with this sentence: "Empty arguments with words can in no way compare with a real trial that will show practical results".

  • CAR&D is a member of the Aladin cluster of high-tech companies, a spin-off from NextMove. Under its banner, CAR&D was present at the VTM Vehicle & Transportation Meetings Torino International business convention for automotive and vehicle innovation, March 26-27, 2024, Torino, Italy. Fruitful exchanges with European players.

  • Our customer Supraways is exhibiting its suspended Public Rapid Transport (PRT) project, a pendular system with a high average speed because it does not stop between departure and arrival "on demand". Its functional model shows the operating principle. Supraways names us as technical partner for the project

  • Inauguration of the LE.IA test bench Immersion at LNE in Trappes.

"The LE.IA Immersion test bench represents an innovation in the field of physical robot testing and development. Designed to enable in-depth testing in a simulated environment, this bench offers an immersive interface thanks to its conical projection screen, acting as a direct link between the simulator and the robot."
