ARCOS 2004

Automobiles have developed primarily through mecatronics and embedded electronics that provide advanced driving aids system (ADAS): ABS, ESP, GPS, Park Assist.

Under normal driving conditions, ADAS does not currently provide road friction values, one of the most important parameters for road safety. As part of the ARCOS 2004 research program, Gilles Schaefer proposed an original method of estimating friction. Seven partners worked collaboratively to implement his method whose principle is to put a driving simulator in the car and then to compare the responses of this vehicle with virtual vehicles (model method).

SARI

CAR&D was selected to participate in the SARI Research Program, part of the PREDIT, CAR&D worked in two areas Research program SARI, on the subject:

VEHICULES ROBOTISES AUTONOMES

Le dveloppement d'Aides la Conduite de haut niveau va conduire progressivement des vhicules autonomes robotiss.

Dans le cadre de ses recherches, le laboratoire ACIS de l'Universit de Paris-Sud-Orsay a charg CAR&D de co-concevoir avec lui et raliser une voiture partiellement robotise. Le choix s'est port sur la Renault Zo, vhicule trs moderne, et dont le rseau CAN permet de lire les capteurs existants et d'crire des commandes. De nombreux capteurs ont t ajouts (camras, GPS, centrale d'attitude, odomtrie fine...)
